CEREBRAL PALSY OF NEBRASKA PROVIDES INFORMATION, REFERRAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO ANYONE IN THE STATE OF NEBRASKA WHO NEED SUCH SERVICES. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND DIRECT FINANCIAL AID IS PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS OR FAMILIES TO ASSIST WITH THE PURCHASE OR REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT, ENVIRONMENT MODIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND PROJECTS THAT ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PERSONS WITH CEREBRAL PALSY AND OTHER DISABILITIES (UP TO $1000). THIS ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED AFTER WORKING WITH THE PERSON REQUESTING ASSISTANCE TO FIND OTHER SOURCES OF FUNDS OR DONATIONS OF SERVICES AND SUPPLIES. STRONGEST CONSIDERATIONS GIVEN TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES THAT HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS AVAILABLE. SUPPORT GROUPS AND FRIENDSHIP GROUPS IN OMAHA FOR ADULTS WITH CP. PROVIDES SCHOLORSHIPS TO CAMPS. NEW PROGRAM CALLED 'COMPUTER KIDS'-CONNECTS KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS TO TECHNOLOGY. CAN PROVIDE: CPU (COMPUTER), MONITOR, MOUSE, KEYBOARD, ADAPTATIONS AS NEEDED, INSTALLATION OF COMPUTER/SOFTWARE/HARDWARE, TRAINING.
