DEVOTED TO BLIND INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE PURSUING THEIR EDUCATION. PROVIDE OUTREACH TO NON-MEMBERS. PEER SUPPORT. EXAMPLE: WHEN ENTERING A NEW CLASS, INFORM INDIVIDUALS HOW TO APPROACH THEIR PROFESSOR ABOUT ACCOMODATIONS SUCH AS LARGE PRINT OR USING A TAPE RECORDER . THIS GROUP PROVIDES INFORMATION FOR SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES PUT ON BY THE COMMISSION FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED. THE GROUP ALSO ATTEMPTS TO ROTATE MEETINGS AT COLLEGES ACROSS NEBRASKA.
