PROVIDES A VARIETY OF SERVICES INCLUDING: HUNGER RELIEF-(MEAL TIMES 11:30-12:30 AND 5:30-6:30 SEVEN DAYS/WEEK). NUTRITION CONSULTATION AVAILABLE BY APPT. ADVOCACY AND OUTREACH- HOMELESS IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM (HIP)-HOMELESS PERSONS W/O IDENTIFICATION CAN RECEIVE ADVOCACY AND THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE NECESSARY TO OBTAIN VITAL DOCUMENTS. LIFE SKILLS ENHANCEMENT PROJECT-TO ALLEVIATE CHRONIC HOMELESSNESS BY TEACHING BASIC LIFE SKILLS (TOPICS RELATED TO PARENTING, BUDGETING, LANDLORD/TENANT ISSUES, NUTRITION/CLEANLINESS, EMPLOYMENT, SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-ADVOCACY). HOMELESS RECOVERY- EMPLOY HOMELESS PERSONS FOR KITCHEN HELP TO LEARN BASIC JOB SKILLS AND APPLICATION SKILLS. OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERISM. WEEKLY AA MEETINGS. INDIVIDUAL DRUG & ALCOHOL COUNSELING SERVICES/EVALUATIONS FOR HOMELESS. ASSIST THOSE W/ MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS BY CONNECTING TO APPROPRIATE COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND APPLICATION TO SOCIAL SECURITY THROUGH SOAR. SOAR PROGRAM STANDS FOR SSI/SSDI OUTREACH AND RECOVERY. VISION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM-VISION SCREENINGS. IF A NEED IS FOUND, A FREE EYE EXAM AND GLASSES ARE PROVIDED. ONE TIME OFFERING FOR THOSE W/O VISION INSURANCE. FOOT CLINIC-NURSING STUDENTS FROM UNION COLLEGE GIVE FOOT CARE TO ADULTS (SOAK FEET, TRIM TOENAILS). RECEIVE FREE SOCKS (EACH MONTH) AND FREE SHOES (EVERY 6 MOS.). FREE TELEPHONE AND MAILING ADDRESS FOR HOMELESS. LEGAL AID OFFERS LEGAL ASSISTANCE EACH MONTH. FREE HAIRCUTS ONCE A MONTH. SHOWERS AND LAUNDRY SERVICE FOR HOMELESS. TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND CASE MANAGEMENT. GAS VOUCHERS-MUST HAVE PROOF OF INSURANCE, REGISTRATION AND DRIVERS LICENSE.
