THE MISSION OF THE NFVIC IS TO ENHANCE THE LIFESTYLE AND EDUCATION OF NE CHILDREN WHO ARE VISUALLY IMPAIRED BY PROVIDING AND ADVOCATING FOR THE FOLLOWING SERVICES FOR THE CHILDREN, THEIR FAMILIES, AND THEIR EDUCATORS: ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY, ADAPTIVE DEVICES, AND RELATED SERVICES FOR THE CHILDREN'S DAILY USE; TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PARENTS AND EDUCATORS; CULTURAL EXPERIENCES FOR THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES; AND MENTORING/SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR THE CHILDREN, THEIR FAMILIES AND EDUCATORS.
