NEBRASKA AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS NETWORK
Description
THE NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION HAS DEVELOPED THE NETWORK TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS, EDUCATIONAL SERVICE UNITS AND PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS. THE GOALS OF THE AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS NETWORK ARE TO: BUILD AND ENHANCE THE CAPACITY OF NEBRASKA SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES IN SUPPORTING CHILDREN ACROSS THE AUTISM DISORDERS SPECTRUM AND TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO NEBRASKA EDUCATORS IN PROVIDING APPROPRIATE SERVICES TO STUDENTS ACROSS THE AUTISM SPECTRUM FROM BIRTH TO AGE 21. PROVIDES CONSULTATIVE SERVICES, INFORMATION DISSEMINATION AND WORKSHOPS & TRAINING.
