Description
FEDERALLY FUNDED HOTLINE FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION. THE NETWORK IS COMPRISED OF OVER 100 INDIVIDUAL CRISIS CENTERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. INDIVIDUALS ARE ROUTED TO THE CLOSEST POSSIBLE PROVIDER OF MENTAL HEALTH AND SUICIDE PREVENTION SERVICES. INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE IN EMOTIONAL DISTRESS OR SUICIDAL CRISIS CAN CALL AT ANY TIME, FROM ANYWHERE IN THE NATION, TO TALK IN ENGLISH OR SPANISH WITH A TRAINED CRISIS WORKER WHO WILL LISTEN TO AND ASSIST CALLERS IN GETTING THE HELP THEY NEED.
