PEDIATRIC CANCER ACTION NETWORK (PCAN)
Description
ADVOCACY, AWARENESS AND EDUCATION EVENTS TO HIGHLIGHT PEDIATRIC CANCER. ALSO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES IN NEBRASKA THAT HAVE A CHILD DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER. AWARD A MINIMUM OF SIX FINANCIAL GRANTS BEGINNING IN JANUARY 2015 (AWARDED THREE TIMES YEARLY, TWO FAMILIES AT A TIME, JANUARY/MAY/SEPTEMBER). GRANTS WILL START AT $1000 EACH. NO INCOME RESTRICTIONS AND ANYONE WITH A CHILD DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER CURRENTLY LIVING IN NEBRASKA IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY, REGARDLESS OF CITIZENSHIP STATUS. CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER WILL HAVE APPLICATIONS.
