FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM
Description
THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO ENABLE PERSONS AGED 60 AND OVER TO REMAIN ACTIVIE IN THEIR COMMUNITY THROUGH SUPPORTIVE PERSON-TO-PERSON SERVICE TO CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL OR EXCEPTIONAL NEEDS IN SCHOOL, HOSPITALS, DAYCARE, & HEADSTART. IF THE VOLUNTEER MEETS THE INCOME GUIDELINES, THEY WILL RECEIVE A NON-TAXABLE STIPEND, A DAILY MEAL, TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE, A YEARLY PHYSICAL, AND EXCESS ACCIDENT & LIABILITY INSURANCE.
