NE PLANNING COUNCIL ON DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES
Description
THE PURPOSE OF THE COUNCIL IS TO ACT AS AN ADVISORY COUNCIL TO PROMOTE INTER-AGENCY COOPERATION, ADVOCATE FOR SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PLAN, PROMOTE COMMUNITY INCLUSION OF PERSONS WITH A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY AND SERVE AS A RESOURCE TO THE STATE, DD COUNCIL. THE SIX STATEWIDE REGIONAL COUNCILS ARE APPROPRIATED $5,000 EACH FISCAL YEAR TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH TRAINING AND AWARENESS ACTIVITIES.
