THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO VERY LOW INCOME HOMEOWNERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN PROBLEM WITH THEIR HOUSE THAT ENDANGERS THEIR HEALTH, SAFETY OR WELFARE. EMERGENCIES MUST BE SO SERIOUS THAT THEY REQUIRE IMMEDIATE ACTION. SOME EXAMPLES OF EMERGENCIES INCLUDE: DEFECTIVE FURNANCE/HEATING SYSTEMS, ELECTRICAL HAZARDS, DEFECTIVE WATER HEATERS. THIS AGENCY OPERATES ONLY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS.
