NCDHH OFFERS ASSISTANCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: 1) ADVOCACY-LOCATING AND ADVOCATION FOR ACCESSIBLE SERVICES AND INFORMATION ON LAWS PURSUANT TO THE ADA. 2) CUSTOMIZED TRAINING AND AWARENESS PROGRAM PRESENTATIONS. 3) RECONDITIONED HEARING AIDS-OBTAIN HEARING AIDS THROUGH THE LION'S HEARING AID BANK AND SERTOMA HEARING AID BANK. 4) LENDING OF EQUIPMENT-LENDING BANK FOR TTY'S AND POCKET TALKERS AND DEMONSTRATES AMPLIFIED TELEPHONES. 5) MENTAL HEALTH-SERVICES ARE OFFERED IN MENTAL HEALTH AND FOR ALCOHOL/DRUG ABUSE BY USING PRIVATE VIDEO CONFERENCING SO INDIVIDUALS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO A COUNSELOR WHO USES SIGN LANGUAGE AND WON'T NEED TO TRAVEL TO OMAHA OR LINCOLN. 6) LENDING LIBRARY-ASSIST CLIENTS IN OBTAINING BOOKS AND VIDEOS FROM THE LIBRARY IN LINCOLN.
